Alright. I'm Lindsey. I'm new here and I'm honestly getting sick of having forum chats that are completely irrelevant to school. We all have email on here that we can use to talk. We even have the research center for the students to talk to each other. I really wouldn't be as against having forums like this if I could ignore the ones that have no relevance to me! Sorry if I sound like a jerk but I'm 9 months pregnant and really hormonal and these start to get on my nerves when they're as long as the other post put under this class. If it doesn't pertain to the class PLEASE refrain from posting mindless chats on them. I would really appreciate it. =]

Okay, THAT is pertaining to school. But that's also something you could try to talk to your advisor or tech support about. I'm more complaining about the posts that go on and on and on with mindless conversation that has NOTHING to do with school. What do you need help learning how to do? You click on the class that you want to do schoolwork for. On the side of the page you click on the Unit you want to do work in, click the lesson you want to work on and go through the four pages. You scroll down within the pages and take notes on the information on the first page. Forums aren't necessary unless you don't understand the information and need help on the information given. I have absolutely nothing against him and TRUST me if I COULD ignore these posts I WOULD but that's the thing. I can't. If you actually got to know me you would know I'm really not a mean person I'm just tired of having to constantly go through these forums and spend my time that I could be using to do school work or possibly preparing for a newborn I'm about to have any day now. And maybe if people did spend their time conversating on here then more people could get their schoolwork done and my advisor wouldn't have to call me just to say she wished I would talk to some of the other people that complain that they can't do their schoolwork because they're too tired or it's too much work. I wasn't even enrolled in school last year and I'm in all honors classes to graduate this year. I work a full time job and I'm 9 months pregnant! It isn't the fact that I'm a nerd or I'm all about the books but this site IS. The only reason that we consider you at least partially illiterate is becuz u talk lik dis. This is in fact a school site and the fact that I can voice my opinion about me being tired of reading nonsense posts on this school website does NOT make me immature. If I was immature I would be cursing you out on here but that just isn't necessary when I can simply ask. There are plenty of other sites that you can converse on such as facebook or twitter. It would make all of us that want to get our schoolwork done be able to by not spending our time trying to sort out where posts are that we HAVE to click on to make it GO AWAY. That's the only reason I have any kind of issue with forums such as this. I like the top of my screen to be empty and not have random 1's or 2's scattered across it.

And it tells you them name of the forum before going to look at the unread messages. again common sense just click on the little green exclamation marks off to the side to clear them so you won't have to read them. not meaning to come off mean but I'm tired of people just talking about the same thing. Everyone has a way of expressing themselves through the way they write or the way they walk or talk. And online school your not seeing much of anybody. Well, there are some points to be made.... The numbers on your navigation bar on top do get annoying, unfortunately, the way this software is makes it so that you have to click however many new posts are made in a specific forum thread. So, when students drag on irrelevant posts, one has to navigate through the thread and click every last new post before the number on the navigation bar goes away.

No student is necessarily calling another illiterate. Like aforementioned, the way you type may suggest that, but I can tell the difference. Some of you use slang like in texting even when typing is easier to eliminate some time that you'd have to make it in the form of SAE (Standard American English).

Yes, there are resources you can use other than the forums, such as the Research Center or https://wwww.meebo.com/ to chat and converse or whatever.
